Dr. Chandler Short, D.C.

Founder/Owner

Dr. Chandler Short is a second-generation chiropractor with a deep-rooted belief in the body’s innate ability to heal.

Born at home in a chiropractic household, he was profoundly influenced by his father Dr. Howard Short (image below), who has been serving clients for over 40 years.

From an early age, Chandler was immersed in the philosophy:

“The Power that Made the Body Heals the Body.”

This principle continues to shape his approach to health, healing, and human potential.

Dr. Chandler earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life West Chiropractic College, where he set out to question, challenge, and make sense of the principles he grew up with.

During his training, he explored a wide range of chiropractic techniques—including Diversified, Thompson Drop Technique, Gonstead, Toggle (HIO), CBP (Chiropractic Biophysics), NUCCA, Knee Chest, SOT, Network Spinal, and Activator.

While he found value in each approach, he was drawn to techniques that provided precise, objective analysis, and measurable outcomes.

His clinical journey ultimately led him to specialize in the Blair Upper Cervical Technique—a highly specific, gentle approach focused on restoring alignment in the upper neck and nervous system.

Before beginning chiropractic college, Dr. Chandler’s path took a transformative turn following a serious auto accident where he was rear-ended at a complete stop.

Over the next two years, he experienced persistent neck spasms, mid-back pain, and neurological symptoms including brain fog, fatigue, and memory challenges–further compounded by a history of multiple concussions from soccer and snowboarding.

Despite receiving regular chiropractic care, he noticed his symptoms were not improving—in some cases, they worsened.

It wasn’t until he received his first upper cervical adjustment that everything changed.

He recalls the moment clearly:

“It felt like my head was finally on straight for the first time in years.”

From that point forward, he experienced profound improvements in sleep, mental clarity, emotional stability, and overall energy.

That experience reshaped his understanding of chiropractic and the Nervous System.

Solidifying his commitment to an upper cervical approach

During his time in chiropractic college, Dr. Chandler traveled to India on a service trip that would leave a lasting imprint on his life and purpose.

In India, he had the opportunity to care for and adjust hundreds of individuals in just a matter of days—many of whom had little to no prior access to chiropractic care.

It was during this experience that Dr. Chandler began to notice the profound impact of focusing on the upper cervical spine—particularly the top bone, C1/Atlas.

One moment stood out vividly for him: after delivering a single toggle adjustment, he witnessed a young girl’s posture and scoliosis visibly shift in an instant.

As her body changed before their eyes, her mother stood nearby in tears—overcome with emotion at what she was witnessing.

This experience expanded Dr. Chandler’s awareness of what is truly possible through chiropractic care.

It deepened his love for travel, strengthened his commitment to service, and sparked a long-term vision—to continue bringing healing to communities around the world, especially to those who may not otherwise have the means or access.

It reinforced a belief he now carries into his work every day—

Miracles CAN and DO HAPPEN with a single, precise adjustment.

“You never know how far reaching what you may think, say or do today will affect the lives of millions tomorrow.”

–B.J. Palmer (The Developer of Chiropractic)

Dr. Chandler specializes in the Blair Upper Cervical Technique because of its individualized, precision-based approach.

Rather than forcing the body into idealized or “perfect” positions, this technique respects the natural asymmetries present in every human body.

He believes healing is not about constant intervention, but about knowing when to adjust—and more importantly, when not to—allowing the body the space to heal itself.

His goal is not to chase symptoms or temporary relief, but to facilitate long-term alignment through the Nervous System–restoring innate power from within.

While his focus is on the upper cervical spine, Dr. Chandler integrates full-spine care when appropriate and recognizes that true healing often requires tapping into the heart, not just the mind.

Dr. Chandler views chiropractic as a unique blend of science, art, and philosophy.

While he utilizes advanced imaging, including CBCT (cone beam CT/3D imaging), along with thermography and precise measurements to guide his care, he believes that genuine healing goes beyond data.

Connection, intention, and presence matter.

Dr. Chandler brings both clinical precision and authentic care into every interaction.

A student of life at heart, Dr. Chandler is constantly learning, evolving, refining his craft, and finding joy in the process…after all, life is about the journey, not the destination.

When Dr. Chandler isn’t focused on his work, you can probably bet he’s doing something active out in nature.

Not everything in health and healing can be fully explained—and he embraces the mystery as much as the science.

He is known for challenging conventional thinking and encouraging clients to expand their beliefs about what’s possible for their health & healing.

If there is one principle that defines Dr. Chandler’s work and belief system, it is this:

Your body is divinely designed to heal.

His mission is to help you reconnect with that truth—and create the conditions where healing can naturally occur.
